# Machine Commerce

Machine Commerce is an API, MCP server, and SDK that gives AI agents a single unified interface to discover, quote, authorize, execute, and receive receipts for transactions across products, APIs, services, and agent-native merchants.

## What it does

AI agents can use Machine Commerce to:

- **Search** — find products, APIs, services, and agent-native merchants
- **Quote** — get price, availability, payment options, and execution path
- **Authorize** — apply spend limits, approvals, and payment policies
- **Execute** — complete checkout, pay for APIs, or invoke services
- **Receipt** — return proof, status, logs, and results

## Why it exists

Commerce is fragmented. Every agent developer today would otherwise need to integrate Shopify, UCP, x402, MPP, ERC-8004, payment handlers, custom MCP servers, and APIs separately. Machine Commerce provides one unified interface for all of it.
